In December 2012, Kwani Trust hosted it’s annual Kwani Litfest featuring celebrated poets Hadraawi (Somalia) and Warsan Shire (Somali-UK) in Nairobi and Eastleigh, Kenya. The literary festival included several live shows also starring Somali hiphop group Waayaha Cusub. The concerts formed part of Waayaha Cusub’s Somali Sunrise Concert Tour for Peace, produced by Humanitarian Bazaar, and overlapped with a video and press campaign.
